The "2015 APPS (American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists) Annual Meeting and Exposition" was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida this past October. At the exposition, we exhibited the taste analyzer TS-5000Z which mimics the human tongue through artificial lipid membrane sensors.

There were many visitors that came to our booth, and we were able to realize how much interest various companies had in improving the taste of pharmaceutical products. This year, we especially talked with many in regards to the measurement of bitterness intensity of API as well as the masking effect of drug formulation for pediatric usage and orally disintegrating tablets.

We would like to continue appealing to the world of Japanese technology regarding the ability to objectively measure taste.
